The Town of Sterling & Village of Fair Haven Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP) project is finally underway and we need your help! The town and village are seeking applications from community members to be a part of the required advisory committee. Committee members will work with staff from the Cayuga County Planning Dept. to prepare a LWRP for the community. Local residents and business owners are encouraged to apply and participate on the advisory committee. Input from community members throughout the planning process is crucial!
The goals for this work include identifying strategies, policies, projects, and local regulations aimed at revitalizing the waterfront area by expanding and enhancing recreational opportunities; providing storm and flood resiliency to critical infrastructure, public and private lands; natural resource protection of unique features and areas; historic preservation; expanding tourism; economic development; and planning for sustainable residential development balanced with agricultural protection.
